CM101: "Old School is Definitely Dead" - CounterMentors

Episode No. 1: “Old School is Definitely Dead”

The very first episode of CounterMentors!  We turn to the dynamic, PG-rated-for-this-show, tell-it-like-it-is, Jim Keenan to kick off the show. Why? Because Keenan (@Keenan) is old enough (38 years old, he says) to have the experience and the chops, but still plenty young enough to understand what it takes to create that CounterMentor workplace.

Robby and Kelly argue “old school” and “new school” — from baseball to the workplace! And Jim has plenty to share about personal brand, creating value, and getting educated (outside of education).

Show Notes:

  1. Congratulations! You’ve Been Fired” by Dan Lyons (New York Times, April 9, 2016)
  2. Doc: Is baseball the ‘tired’ sport Bryce Harper says it is?” by Paul Daugherty (Cincinnati.com, March 28, 2016)
  3. Not Taught: What It Takes to Be Successful in the 21st Century That Nobody’s Teaching You” by Jim Keenan (A Sales Guy, December 2015)
